“DPWH Reactivates Motorist Assistance Program for All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days Exodus”
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced on Thursday the reactivation of its motorist assistance program for the upcoming All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days exodus.
According to a new release by the Philippines News Agency, the program will be in effect from 8 a.m. on October 31 until 5 p.m. on November 2. The “Lakbay Alalay” motorist assistance centers will be operational during this period, with strategically-located stations manned round-the-clock by uniformed personnel equipped to provide emergency services to motorists and travelers. DPWH regional and district engineering offices nationwide were also instructed to conduct routine maintenance along national roads leading to cemeteries, memorial parks, and churches in preparation for the holiday observance.
