Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah Graces Women’s Special Assembly for Maulidur Rasul Celebration

Jerudong: Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah binti His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah graced the Women’s Special Assembly in conjunction with the Maulidur Rasul Celebration 1447 Hijrah. The event, organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance and Economy, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam, and Women’s Council Brunei Darussalam, was held at the Royal Berkshire, Tarindak D’Polo, Jerudong on the morning of 18th September.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the assembly was also attended by Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Majeedah Nuurul Bolkiah, Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah, Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna, Ambassador At-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Amal Umi Kalthum Al-Islam. Upon arrival, Her Royal Highness was welcomed by the Co-Chairpersons and Co-Advisors of the Women’s Special Assembly. The event featured an Al-Qur’an reading by Dayang Najla’ Sabreena binti Haji Abdul Rajid, the Champion Qariah of the National Youth Musabaqah Tilawatil Al-Qur’an 2024 and 2025.

Datin Hajah Umiyati binti Haji Mohd Noor, Co-Chairperson of the event, delivered a welcoming address focusing on the theme of the celebration. She emphasized that a peaceful, harmonious, and loving family not only ensures the household’s well-being but also serves as the foundation for society’s harmony, unity, and national stability. A Dikir marhaban further enlivened the ceremony.

A Special Talk was delivered by Doctor Widad binti Dato’ Doctor Haji Abdul Aziz, a lecturer from UNISSA, highlighting the example set by the Prophet in managing misunderstandings and emotions with patience, gentleness, and fairness. The assembly continued with the recitation of Selawat.

The ceremony concluded with a Doa Selamat read by Hajah Noor Rasidah binti Haji Sharbini, Acting Assistant Director of Islamic Studies.
