The Ship for South East Asian Youth and Japan Programme, SSEAYP is an international youth exchange programme for members of ASEAN and Japan that is intended to produce understanding and cooperation among ASEAN and Japanese youth. It provides the opportunity to learn the customs, culture, politics and economic development of each nation. Yesterday, the Youth and Sports Department held a Preview of the Cultural Performance and Exhibition for the 43rd SSEAYP.
The country’s contingent comprises of 28 youth. They consist of government officers, members of the private sector and individuals. This year’s programme that begins on the 25th of October and ends on the 15th of December is participated by 330 youth from 11 countries that will travel on the Nippon Maru. Throughout their journey, the participants will have the opportunity to interact on the ship, visit the participating countries and learn their cultures.
