Preparations Underway for 40th National Day Oath Reading

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN — The preparation for the 40th National Day Celebration is in full swing, with particular attention being paid to the Oath Reading segment, a tradition since 1984 symbolizing gratitude and the people’s promise to the Monarch. This year’s Oath Reading team consists of 44 participants, including 40 individuals born in 1984, underscoring the significance of the event.

According to Radio Television Brunei, participants have undergone rigorous reading training to embody the spirit of independence. The initiatives aim to ensure participants are fully prepared for the National Day Celebration, recognizing the Oath Reading as a solemn promise to the Monarch, nation, and themselves. The team’s preparation emphasizes the deep meaning behind each verse of the oath, highlighting its importance to all citizens.
