Power Restored in Temburong District After Disruptions

TEMBURONG — The Temburong District experienced significant power disruptions on February 17, 2024. The Department of Electrical Services (DES) under the Prime Minister’s Office announced that emergency measures were taken to ensure residents received electricity through mobile power generators while repair efforts were underway.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the electricity supply was successfully restored to all affected areas by 8:29 PM on the same day. The outage was initially caused by equipment damage to one of the diesel machines at the Belingus Power Station. The DES has confirmed that the power station is now fully operational following the completion of repair works.
