Philippines Hotels Announce Massive Discounts for September Stays

MANILA — The Hotel Sales and Marketing Association (HSMA) revealed plans for a substantial sale event starting September 1, targeting a broad revival in travel and hospitality across the Philippines.

According to Philippines News Agency, HSMA Secretary and SOS project head Ma. Celeste Romualdo during a press event in Manila, the September Online Sale (SOS) will feature discounts up to 75% on accommodations, dining, and experiences at over 85 hotels and resorts nationwide. This annual event, initiated in 2020 during the pandemic’s peak to aid the struggling hospitality industry, has since brought in significant revenue, culminating in a record PHP35.6 million in 2022 alone.

The sale not only aims to boost hotel revenues but also to inspire domestic travel and exploration, with special packages available for meetings, conferences, and personal events like weddings and birthdays. Among the participating locations, grouped into nine clusters, are prominent properties in Alabang, Pasay, Parañaque, Bohol, Iloilo, Bicol, Boracay, Cebu, Manila, Makati, North Luzon, Palawan, Davao, Pasig, Taguig, Quezon City, and Southern Luzon. The HSMA SOS website, hsma.org.ph/sos, will host the sale, which concludes at midnight on September 30.
