Parade in Conjunction with Royal Brunei Navy’s 56th Anniversary

 

The Royal Brunei Navy has achieved various accomplishments and evolution since its establishment 56 years ago. The Royal Brunei Navy strives to remain relevant with challenges and threats in the maritime security domain through gaining and development of capabilities as well as new assets which will fulfil the role and responsibility as stated in the Defence White Paper 2021. The Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy also pointed out that apart from modernization, a true testament of an organization’s maturity lies in the quality and professionalism of its human resource. First Admiral Spry  bin Haji Serudi @ Seruji also stressed that all leadership in the Royal Brunei Navy to always be attentive in carrying out their responsibility in accordance with their rank and position in together combat traditional or non-traditional threats. This was underlined by the Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy at a Parade held in conjunction with the Royal Brunei Navy’s 56th anniversary celebration yesterday morning.

 

He further explained that in efforts to produce skilled personnel, the value of spiritual knowledge must also be emphasised by increasing understanding on Fardhu Ain. Carrying out a duty based on the teachings of Islam can prevent deviant teachings, act as a guide in disciplinary compliance and further strengthen leadership quality at all levels in line with the Royal Brunei Armed Forces’ core values.

 

The Parade was followed by the presentation of awards and certificates to Royal Brunei Navy personnel with best achievements and professionalism in their career. Among the awards presented included the Individual Fitness Assessment Award, the ‘Sauh Emas’ Award and the ‘Bintang Harapan’ Award.
