Two foreigners were found guilty under Section 15 Three of the Immigration Act, Chapter 17 for working against the stated occupation. Actions will be taken against foreigners committing such offences and if found guilty, will be brought to the court, face imprisonment and extradition and will be blacklisted from the country.
The offences were recorded during an operation dubbed ‘Tumpas’ conducted by the Law Enforcement Division, Bandar Seri Begawan’s Department of Immigration and National Registration. The operation targeted housing area in Mukim Serasa for foreigners providing service as lawn mowers from house to house. The two foreign nationals were brought to the Law Enforcement Division, Department of Immigration and National Registration for further investigation.
