Post: Operasi SAKAT JIPK

The Department of Immigration and National Registration will continue to conduct operations, arrests, investigations and take legal action on anyone who violates the law according to its jurisdiction. The reminder was made following three 'Operasi SAKAT JIPK' carried out recently.

On the 24th of July 2023, the operation targeted a used car shop in Mukim Sengkurong, where a male foreigner was found to be working in a position not stated in his passport.

Meanwhile on the 31st of July 2023, a similar operation was conducted at two separate locations. An inspection on a shop in Jalan Kilanas Mulaut, Kampung Kilanas found two Malaysian men committing the offence of working using the Visit Pass. Another inspection carried out at a food stall in Mukim Kilanas led to the detention of a female foreigner believed to have overstayed in the country after her Immigration pass has expired.

The third operation on the 2nd of August 2023 targeted two locations. At a rented house in Mukim Kilanas, authorities found that a female foreigner was working in a position not stated in her passport, while a male foreigner was not working with the original employer. Another inspection targeting a flat in Mukim Gadong B found a foreigner who had overstayed in the country.
