BAGUIO CITY — Malacañang Heritage Mansions is set to unveil its latest attraction, a Presidential Museum located at The Mansion in Baguio City, highlighting the legacies of Philippine presidents. Announced by First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, this new cultural site aims to attract students, families, and young visitors from northern regions to explore the rich presidential history of the nation.
According to Philippines News Agency, the Malacañang Heritage Museum will feature seven galleries dedicated to the achievements of former presidents up to the current, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. These exhibits will include a wide array of presidential memorabilia, such as attire, footwear, and sculpted busts, alongside timelines of presidential histories. The Mansion, which is situated along Romulo Drive opposite Wright Park, has a long history of its own, originally serving as the summer residence for American governors-general prior to World War II and later as the official summer residence for the President of the Philippines.
The First Lady expressed her enthusiasm for the project in a recent social media post, inviting the public to preview the museum online before its opening. She highlighted the museum's role in enriching public understanding of the nation's leaders and thanked those involved in the project's realization. This new addition in Baguio is modeled after the Teus Museum in Malacañang, Manila, aiming to replicate its success and significance.
