Nationwide ‘Operasi Bersih Sepadu’ Yields 68 Offences

Bandar seri begawan: A total of 68 offences were recorded during the nationwide ‘Operasi Bersih Sepadu’ involving enforcement agencies from the District Offices and Municipal Department. The operations were conducted simultaneously across the country from June 16th to June 30th.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the operations found that 35 companies and 33 individuals committed offences related to the unauthorized dumping of waste. All parties involved received compound fines and were mandated to clean up the affected areas. They are required to settle their fines within a seven-day period.

Failure to comply with these requirements will result in the cases being escalated to court. Residents with complaints regarding hygiene issues are encouraged to contact the hotline at 832 1581.
