Post: National Contingent Achieves Impressive Medal Haul at 6th Borneo Games


Kuching: The national contingent celebrated a significant achievement by securing a gold medal in the swimming event on the final day of the 6th Borneo Games held in Kuching, Sarawak.

According to Radio Television Brunei, Dayang Sharmeen binti Mohammad Mharvin emerged victorious with two gold medals in the women’s 100-meter backstroke and the women’s 50-meter freestyle events. On the men’s side, Joel Ling Thai Yu earned a silver medal in the 100-meter backstroke category.

Additionally, the Men’s Freestyle Relay Team, consisting of Joel Ling Thai Yu, Awang Nur Haziq Samil, Danniel Chan Zhi Zhen, and Dulan Wong Wei Shen, also brought home a silver medal. Overall, the national contingent concluded the games with a total of 18 medals, comprising four gold, seven silver, and seven bronze medals.
