Antipolo City-A 50-year-old man wanted for murder was arrested in Antipolo City while applying for a national police clearance, revealing an outstanding arrest warrant against him. According to Philippines News agency, chief of the Rizal Provincial Police Office, the suspect, identified only as “Ben,” was detected by the police clearance system, which showed an active warrant for his arrest dating back to November 2021. Issued by the Regional Trial Court in Malolos, Bulacan, the warrant charges Ben with murder, specifying no bail. The suspect had been evading capture since 2021 after allegedly killing his live-in partner in Bulacan and has been hiding in Antipolo City. His arrest underscores the utility of integrated police databases in maintaining law and order.
