Bandar seri begawan: The 190th Munajat Night, organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs on the evening of July 12th, highlighted the spiritual significance of paying zakat, or tithe, as emphasized in the Al-Qur’an. The event underscored that wealth used for zakat brings peace to the soul and purifies the heart, and that such wealth is blessed and will not diminish.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the event saw participation from attendees of the 109th Muallaf Advanced Guidance Scheme Series of the Islamic Da’wah Centre. Additionally, the takmir committee and congregants from the Kampung Sungai Liang Mosque in the Belait District, along with several other mosques, suraus, and religious halls nationwide, also joined the Munajat Night.
The gathering served as a reminder of the importance of zakat in the Islamic faith, reinforcing the notion that giving is a source of spiritual and communal enrichment.
