Cannon Shots to Celebrate 1st of Syawal

Bandar Seri Begawan: The arrival of Syawal was enlivened with 12 cannon shots at the Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien in the capital, 30th March late afternoon. The release of the shots was conducted by personnel of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Military Police.

According to Radio Television Brunei, it is a tradition in Brunei Darussalam to welcome the arrival of the Muslim day of victory after fasting in Ramadhan.
