Mobile Library Services

The Language and Literature Bureau's Mobile Library Service provides book lending services using mobile buses as a convenience to the public and school students in rural areas. It is to provide a book lending service and at the same time to instil a love of reading.

In Tutong District, there are 10 stop centres for mobile library services located at several government and private primary schools, secondary schools and religious schools. The Mobile Library Service is scheduled to operate twice a month, by visiting stop centres within an hour for each school. The service also provides the facility to add a collection of reading materials for students, apart from obtaining materials from the library at their school. The objective of this service is to encourage the filling of recreation through activities that are beneficial in promoting a knowledge-literate society.
