Ministry of Health’s ‘MoH Prihatin’ Initiative Brings Aid to Underprivileged Patients Across Districts


Bandar Seri Begawan: The Ministry of Health, through its Medical Social Workers Services, has successfully organized the ‘MoH Prihatin’ initiative, providing essential aid to underprivileged patients across various districts. This year, 23 registered patients and their families benefitted from the donations collected by the Medical Social Workers Services Charity Fund.



According to Radio Television Brunei, the funds for the initiative were raised through the generous contributions of the Ministry of Health’s officers and staff, non-governmental organizations, the private sector, and individual donors. In the Brunei Muara District, a delegation led by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health, visited four patients, delivering basic necessities and medical equipment.



The Belait District saw donations presented to four patients by Awang Haji Maswadi bin Haji Mohsin, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health. In the Tutong District, eight patients received similar visits, with the delegation led by Doctor Dayang Hajah Rafidah binti Haji Gharif, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Professional at the Ministry of Health.



In the Temburong District, the initiative was spearheaded by Pengiran Mohammad Khiruddin bin Pengiran Haji Yusof, Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary for Policy and Management, with the presence of Yang Berhormat Haji Awang Sulaiman bin Haji Nasir, Member of the Legislative Council, further highlighting the collaborative effort to assist those in need.
