Minister Urges Participants to Master Tarannum Al-Quran Reading at Course Closure

GADONG – At the closing ceremony of the First Series of the Advanced Tarannum Al-Quran Course 2024 held today in Gadong, Minister of Religious Affairs Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman emphasized the importance of mastering tarannum Al-Quran reading for both Qari and Qariah.

According to Radio Television Brunei, mastering this skill allows participants to appreciate and enhance the beauty of their vocal rendition of the Al-Quran. He highlighted that individual voice qualities play a crucial role in the effectiveness of tarannum, which is the art of reciting the Quran melodically.

The ceremony featured a performance by Halaqah Tarannum Al-Quran, marking the culmination of the course which was organized by the MABIMS Centre for Al-Quran Studies and Dissemination. The aim of the course was to advance the discipline of tarannum Al-Quran both scientifically and practically, urging participants to utilize their new skills actively.
