Total COVID-19 cases in the country remain at 141 as no new case was reported. This was shared by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health at a media conference on the latest COVID-19 situation in the country yesterday afternoon.
According to Yang Berhormat, there is only one case still being treated at the National Isolation Centre, with the case still in critical condition and requires the heart/ lung machine or ECMO as well as respiratory assistance. In the past 24 hours, 502 samples have been tested for the SARS-CoV2 virus, bringing the total number of lab tests conducted since January 2020 to 21,659.
The Ministry of Health also shared the statistics of the surveillance conducted in the third week of de-escalation that is from the 1st until 5th of June 2020 as follows:
- 426 samples taken on foreign workers surveillance;
- 489 samples taken on community surveillance; and
- 481 samples taken for expanded surveillance such as on frontliners and staff working at child care centres, preschools, and elderly care centres.
Following the announcement on the BruHealth App, 281,969 individuals have registered as users to the application. In addition to that, 6,034 businesses and premises have registered for the application.
