Manila Water Advises 15,000 Households in Antipolo to Prepare for 10-Hour Service Interruption

ANTIPOLO — Over 15,000 households in several barangays of this city have been advised to brace for a 10-hour water service interruption scheduled for Tuesday night to Wednesday morning.

According to a new release by the Philippines News Agency, a communications manager at Manila Water (MW), the interruption is necessitated by repairs on a ruptured main water line at Sitio Langhaya, Barangay dela Paz along Marcos Highway. The affected areas include Barangays Dela Paz, Bagong Nayon, Inarawan, San Luis, and San Isidro, along with peripheral neighborhoods. Water tankers will be deployed to the affected communities, and residents are advised to let the water run for several minutes before using it once service resumes. Despite the year’s reduced rainfall due to El Niño, Manila Water stated it has sufficient supply for its customers, with a new facility slated to begin operations in December.
