OGASAWARA ISLANDS, Japan – A magnitude 6.0 earthquake occurred near the Ogasawara Islands in the Pacific Ocean south of Tokyo on Tuesday morning, shaking the region without triggering a tsunami.
According to Philippines News Agency, the earthquake's epicenter was located approximately 50 kilometers deep, with the seismic activity reaching a level 4 on Japan’s seven-point intensity scale on Hahajima Island. Despite the significant tremor, no tsunami warnings were issued by the agency.
