SHANGHAI, Dec. 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Magna International Inc. announced that it has relocated its Shunde mirrors manufacturing facility in Guangdong Province. An opening ceremony was held to celebrate the start of production in the new site and inaugurate its new name, Guangdong Magna Automotive Mirrors Co., Ltd.

The new facility, with a size of 34,600 square meters, has incorporated a molding shop, a state-of-the-art paint shop and an assembly shop in one location. Guangdong Magna produces various outside mirrors, inside mirrors and door handles for global customer Nissan, trans-national joint ventures such as GAC Honda, GAC Toyota, GAC Fiat, and DPCA, and Chinese domestic OEMs such as Chery and Greatwall. It is expected to deliver world-class quality and continue to support customers with flawless launches and new product ideas.

In addition to the Guangdong plant, Magna has a mirrors assembly facility in Chengdu, an outside/inside mirrors and door handle manufacturing facility in Shanghai, and an actuator and lighting systems manufacturing facility in Taicang.
