Post: Literary Criticism Mentor-Mentee Programme Launches in Berakas

Bandar seri begawan: The 2025 Literary Criticism Mentor-Mentee Programme, an initiative by the Language and Literature Bureau, was inaugurated as a capacity development programme through the concept of mentoring. This programme is designed to develop and empower young researchers as the next generation of national thinkers in the field of literary criticism. The Mentor Appointment and Mentee Handover Ceremony, which marked the beginning of the programme, was held on the morning of July 10 at the Language and Literature Bureau in Berakas.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the ceremony included the presentation of mentor appointment letters and the official handover of mentees to their respective mentors, officiated by Dayang Hajah Haireni binti Haji Awang Damit, Acting Deputy Director of the Language and Literature Bureau. A total of 12 mentees have been selected to participate in the five-month programme, which includes 12 mentoring sessions starting this month. The programme aims to foster a constructive professional relationship between mentors and mentees, providing a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience.
