Licensed Travel Agents under Tourism Development Department

The Tourism Development Department, Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism is the regulator for Travel Agents in Brunei Darussalam as stipulated in the Tourism Act, Chapter 239. Any company who wish to operate any activities related to Travel Agents must apply for licence from Tourism Development Department.

Licensed companies that plan to operate Haj or Umrah services must obtain approval from the Haj Management Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs. The public is advised to only deal with licensed Travel Agents for any ticket bookings, holiday packages whether domestically or abroad including Haj and Umrah packages. The Tourism Development Department has acknowledged the public complaints regarding unlicensed companies offering domestic and foreign tourism package services, including Umrah package. The Tourism Development Department will constantly monitor any companies carrying out Travel Agent activities without a valid licence to protect the well-being of the public. The Tourism Development Department will not hesitate to take legal action against companies or individuals who carry out Travel Agent activities without a valid licence.

The Tourism Development Department also shared the latest list of Licensed Travel Agents under the department which can be found at 'www.tourism.gov.bn'. The list of Travel Agents will be constantly updated and the public is encouraged to always refer to the website.
