Bandar seri begawan: The Law Enforcement Division of the Department of Immigration and National Registration conducted two 'Operasi Kakas' operations, targeting several locations within the country. The operations focused on identifying foreigners overstaying their visas. According to Radio Television Brunei, the first operation took place at a rental house in Mukim Gadong B, where fourteen foreigners were inspected. Of those inspected, one individual was detained and taken to the Law Enforcement Division for further investigation. The detainee is believed to have violated the Immigration Act, Chapter 17, by overstaying after their immigration pass expired. The second operation was carried out at a rental house in Mukim Berakas A. During this operation, twelve foreigners were inspected, and three individuals were detained for further investigation. Similar to the first operation, these individuals were suspected of overstaying their visas, in violation of the Immigration Act, Chapter 17.
