The entrepreneurs of Brunei Darussalam and the People’s Republic of China have fostered cooperation in promoting the seafood industry. The cooperation was established at the launching ceremony of seafood products under the co-branding between C FRESH and bruneihalalfoods as well as the opening ceremony of Brunei National Pavilion on, China’s largest retailer for online and offline. The launching was the main and major steps in allowing greater exposure of Brunei products in a wider market of the People’s Republic of China. The ceremony held at Beijing, People’s Republic of China was witnessed by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, the Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy.

Mr. Eyan Ou, the Chief Executive Officer of Brunei Industrial Investment Holdings Company Limited said that the active participation of the various parties will ensure consumers are always met with the highest quality of Halal products from Brunei Darussalam and it represents a key component towards the success of the Marine Seafood Industry.

The Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy in his remarks highlighted that the Brunei National Pavilion provides opportunity for products made in Brunei to be marketed in China via’s platform and hence allowing greater exposure for various high quality food products from Brunei. Yang Berhormat added that the event is one of the results of the long standing relationship between companies from Brunei and urged for such collaborations to continue and thrive.

The ceremony coincided with signing of Strategic Cooperation Agreements between Pure Fresh International Holdings Limited; Pure Fresh (B) Sdn Bhd; and three other organisations namely: CCIC Traceability Technology Service Co. Ltd; Sinochem Capital Investment Management Limited; and Guangdong Shunde Rural Commercial Bank Company Limited, which aim to strengthen the implementation of the Brunei National Pavilion.

With this close collaboration with and other Chinese enterprises, both Pure Fresh and Ghanim International Corporation will strive to explore more potential joint efforts towards the development of marine seafood industries in both countries.
