The Retail Entrepreneurship Programme provides an opportunity for locals to gain experience in operating shops. According to the Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy, the programme provides exposure to market trends and enables young people to take the opportunities provided by the Government and be prepared in facing challenges in order to achieve success. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah stated the matter in an interview at the Launching of “The Junction” Retail Entrepreneurship Programme by Ghanim International Corporation Sendirian Berhad, a company under Darussalam Assets Sdn Bhd.

 

“The Junction” Convenience Store features a wide selection of daily essentials including household items and food products. It also acts as a platform for the distribution and promotion of Micro Small Medium Enterprise, MSMEs, home-based and cottage industry products including products by the One Village One Product, 1K1P programme. Also present were Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy for Economy and Chairman of Ghanim International Corporation; as well as Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abd Rahman, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy for Fiscal.

 

“The Junction”, positioned as Brunei’s one stop convenience store franchise is an expansion of “The Junction” kiosks owned by Ghanim International Corporation that have been operating since 2018 including at the Ministry of Finance and Economy, Ministry of Health and Brunei International Airport.
