Launching of Laboratory Collaboration Programme Marks Academic Milestone

Sinaut: The one-year Osaka University International Certificate Programme (OUICP) provides students the opportunity to gain knowledge on advanced research methodologies besides developing human resources that can contribute to the country’s economic progress. The matter was emphasised during the Graduation of OUICP 2023 and the Commencement of OUICP 2024 Cohort. Organised by Osaka University ASEAN Campus in collaboration with Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University (UNISSA), the ceremony took place at Sinaut Campus, UNISSA, on the afternoon of January 21st.

According to Radio Television Brunei, Doctor Awang Haji Azman bin Ahmad, Permanent Secretary for Higher Education at the Ministry of Education, stated the matter during the OUICP 2023 Certificate Presentation Ceremony and OUICP 2024 Cohort Commencement for postgraduate students from three local institutions, namely UNISSA, Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), and Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB). The event also featured the launching of the ASEAN Campus Joint Laboratory between UNISSA and the University of Osaka, marking a significant collaboration in the region’s academic landscape.
