Bandar seri begawan: The Guideline Book on Addressing Harassment at the Workplace in the Public Service in Brunei Darussalam was drafted as a proactive measure to strengthen the culture of professionalism, equality, and psychological well-being at the workplace. The book was launched at the Banquet Hall, Prime Minister’s Office, 29th November morning.
According to Radio Television Brunei, it was inaugurated by Yang Berhormat Dayang Hajah Safiah binti Sheikh Haji Abd Salam, Member of the Legislative Council. The book underlined the definition and types of harassment such as abuse of power, bullying, sexual and psychological harassment. It also has information on formal and informal complaint handling procedures. Through the book, all ministries and its departments can clearly understand their respective roles and responsibilities, and at the same time, ensure a safer, more conducive, and harassment-free work environment. The ceremony was organised by the Counselling Services Division of the Public Service Department, Prime Minister’s Office.
