Launching of Brunei MSME Festival

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, MSMEs comprise 97.2 per cent of active enterprises in Brunei Darussalam, making the sector important in the country's economic landscape. Apart from providing employment opportunities, the sector also plays a vital role in shaping the nation's economic development, aside from supplying goods and services as well as encouraging competition and stability in the market. The Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy underlined the matter at the launching of the Brunei MSME Festival 2023 in BRIDEX, Jerudong.

Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy expressed hope that more entrepreneurs will step forward and seize the opportunity to be braver and more innovative in achieving the business goals.

With the theme 'Dare to Innovate: Growth and Resilience Through Innovation', over 200 local vendors join the festival. A number of activities have also been lined up such as conferences and talks from several government agencies. The festival is open to the public until the 19th of March 2023 from 9 in the morning to 9 in the evening. Also present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism.
