Post: Laguna Police Arrest 74 in Wide-Ranging Anti-Crime Operations

LAGUNA, PHILIPPINES - In a sweeping anti-crime operation on Friday, Laguna law enforcement agencies have apprehended 74 individuals for various offenses.

According to Philippines News Agency, the arrests were made as part of a concerted effort to clamp down on criminal activities within the region. The operation saw 20 people taken into custody over allegations of illegal drug involvement. Acting LPPO director Col. Gauvin Mel Unos revealed that more than 76 grams of shabu, valued at approximately PHP 500,000, were seized in these coordinated raids.

In addition to the drug-related arrests, 45 individuals were detained on suspicion of engaging in illegal gambling activities. The operation also resulted in the capture of three individuals identified as Calabarzon's Most Wanted Persons, who were wanted in connection with separate cases of murder, rape, and theft.

The LPPO did not disclose the specific charges against the remaining seven individuals arrested during the operation.
