Members of the country’s contingents in two international monitoring and peacekeeping teams have returned safely after completing their overseas mission.

A Kesyukuran ceremony was held yesterday for members of the country’s 12th group in the International Monitoring Team, IMT to Mindanao in the Republic of the Philippines and the country’s contingent that joined the Malaysian Battalion (MALBATT 850-3) serving in the United Nations Interim Peacekeeping Force in Southern Lebanon, UNIFIL.

In attendance were (Retired) First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohammad Tamit, the Acting Minister of Defence and Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohammad Tawih bin Abdullah, the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
