In an effort to develop socio-economy and further increase community involvement and cohesion, the economic programme "Ke Temburong Bisai" was launched on 3rd September morning. The two-day programme was also held to assist the District's Orphans Fund.
The programme was launched by Awang Abdul Walid bin Haji Matassan, Permanent Secretary for Municipal and District at the Ministry of Home Affairs. The ceremony was enlivened with various activities including a relaxed tug-of-war, animal show and Teh Tarik challenge. 89 sales booths are also provided involving entrepreneurs of One Village One Product, 1K1P. The two-day programme which ends on 4th September, is run by the Mukim and Village Consultative Councils in collaboration with the Temburong District Office.
