Katherine Bell Joins Chery Tiggo for PVL Reinforced Conference
MANILA — Chery Tiggo has officially signed American volleyball player Katherine Bell for the upcoming Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference. Bell, known for her powerful play and energetic presence on the court, previously competed in the Philippine Superliga (PSL) with Petron, where she was named Best Outside Spiker in 2019.
According to Philippines News Agency, Bell is enthusiastic about her return to the Philippines after a hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. “I’m so excited to announce that I’m finally playing back in the Philippines for Chery Tiggo. It’s been about four years since COVID, and I cannot be more excited and happy to be back here for the fans,” Bell expressed. The 6-foot-2 player has had an extensive career, playing in Turkey, Korea, and the United States, including for the Pro Volleyball Federation team Vegas Thrill.
Bell also mentioned her excitement about reuniting with former Petron teammate Aby Maraño and playing alongside other former colleagues. “Even though I’m new to Chery Tiggo, I’m fortunate enough to be playing with Aby. There are a few players as well that I’m excited to see, my old teammates from my old team,” she added.
Chery Tiggo, which placed fourth in the 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference, is looking to enhance their team performance and standings in the upcoming conference with Bell’s addition.
