Bandar seri begawan: The Islamic Da’wah Centre, under the Ministry of Religious Affairs, has commenced the distribution of the 2026 Taqwim or Calendar to the public over a two-day period beginning on December 16. This year’s Taqwim is themed ‘Zakat Sebagai Mekanisme Kewangan Yang Vital’ or ‘Tithe as a Vital Financial Mechanism.’ The calendar serves not only as a guide for prayer dates and times but also as an educational resource and a medium for da’wah within the Muslim community, particularly in Brunei Darussalam.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the calendars are being distributed simultaneously across all districts through a drive-thru system. In the Brunei Muara District, the distribution is taking place at the headquarters of the Islamic Da’wah Centre. The Belait District sees the distribution at the car park of the Muhammad Jamalul Alam Mosque. Meanwhile, the Tutong District Religious Office is the central point for distribution in the Tutong District, and in the Temburong District, the calendars are being distributed at the car park of Dewan Utama, Mukim Bangar Civic Centre Complex.
