Post: Indonesian Woman Fined for Possessing Cigarettes Without Permit

Bandar seri begawan: An Indonesian woman has been fined BND63,340 or sentenced to 13 months imprisonment in default after being found guilty of possessing cigarettes of various brands without a valid permit. The woman, identified as 40-year-old Lilik Anggraini, was apprehended by officers from the Law Enforcement Division of the Royal Customs and Excise Department. According to Radio Television Brunei, the arrest took place on 6th May at a house located in Jalan Pasir Berakas. Anggraini was discovered with 178 cartons and 11 packets of cigarettes, all lacking the necessary permits. The case highlights the strict enforcement measures being taken against the illegal possession and distribution of tobacco products in the region.
