In conjunction with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports through the Department of Community Development, JAPEM, held an Inclusive Fun Fest. The event took place on 4th December morning, during the Bandarku Ceria Programme at the Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien. The fun fest was jointly organised by The Impian Project, La Vida, Physically Disabled Association, PAP-DA and the Special Olympics Brunei Darussalam Association, SOBD under the Council for the Welfare of Persons with Disabilities, MKOKU.
It was officiated by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. Various awareness activities and adaptive sports were held to enliven the event which was conducted by PAP-DA, SOBD, La Vida, The Impian Project and the International School Brunei, ISB.
Also held was the presentation of over 40 balls to SOBD handed over by Her Excellency Caryn Roberta McClelland, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Brunei Darussalam and Catherine Pochkhanavala-Cleeve, British Deputy High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam.
