Inchcape Brunei Pioneers Solar PV System Installation in Automotive Sector

Gadong: The successful installation of a solar PV system marks a significant milestone for Inchcape Brunei, demonstrating their commitment to sustainable practices and responsible business operations. This initiative positions Inchcape Brunei as the first automotive company in the nation to incorporate rooftop solar panels within its premises. By generating substantial renewable energy, the installations are expected to cut carbon dioxide emissions by an estimated 100 to 156 metric tons.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the launch event took place this morning in Gadong and was attended by Awang Abdul Salam bin Haji Abdul Wahab, the Assistant Director of the Energy Transition Division at the Department of Energy, Prime Minister’s Office. The solar PV systems have been installed at two critical locations: the Lexus Showroom and Service Centre in Gadong, and the Toyota Showroom and Service Centre in Beribi.
