Bandar seri begawan: The Department of Councils of State recently organized the Ilal Hijrah Celebration at the Dewan Majlis Building to mark the beginning of the 1447 New Hijrah Year.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the event was attended by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib, the Speaker of the Legislative Council. The celebration featured a special talk titled “Semangat Hijrah dalam Diri Muslim Sejati,” which emphasized the important characteristics of a true Muslim. In addition, the event included the reading of Selawat Tafrijiyyah, which added to the spirit of the occasion.
