Bandar seri begawan: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, has left Jerudong Park Medical Centre after undergoing a Right Total Knee Replacement surgery.
According to Radio Television Brunei, His Majesty's departure was accompanied by Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam along with members of the Royal Family. Cabinet Ministers and Deputy Ministers were also present to bid farewell to His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri.
His Majesty expressed gratitude to the citizens and residents of Brunei Darussalam, both domestically and abroad, including students and various foreign nationals, for their prayers for his recovery. He extended appreciation for the greetings and well wishes received from Heads of State, Government, and Royal Families during his treatment.
His Majesty also conveyed his appreciation to the medical experts and team at Jerudong Park Medical Centre for the treatment provided during his stay. As part of the departure proceedings, a Doa Selamat was read by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti.
