Hari Raya Postcards Revive Tradition of Sending Festive Greetings

Bandar Seri Begawan: In conjunction with this year’s Hari Raya celebrations, the Department of Postal Services is introducing the Hari Raya Postcard, a special philatelic product. The production of the postcard aims to bring back the nostalgia of sending Hari Raya greeting cards as a remembrance to family and friends. This initiative seeks to restore the unique cultural practice of sending Hari Raya cards, allowing the younger generation to recognize and understand communication methods before the digital era.

According to Radio Television Brunei, Pengiran Haji Hairul Azmi Bin Pengiran Haji Morni, Head of Marketing, Philately and Public Relations Unit, stated that only 2,000 sets are issued by the department, which is further divided into 500 sets. Each set, containing four Hari Raya postcards, is priced at $6.
