A sum of $110,450 donated by Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah was presented to several families who fell victim to fires and natural disasters, as well as to several mosques, suraus and religious halls nationwide to organise events in conjunction with Maulidur Rasul celebration for 1444 Hijrah/2022. The donation was handed over by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health, as Deputy Chairman of the Yayasan Board of Directors. The handover took place at Dewan An-Naura, Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex in the capital, 22nd September afternoon.
Five families who fell victim to house fires in Kampung Masin; Kampung Anggerek Desa; Kampung Pasai; and Kampung Menglait as well as natural disasters in Kampung Sungai Kebun received donations totalling $32,250.
Meanwhile, 74 mosques, suraus and religious halls nationwide received donations amounting $78,200 to organise Maulidur Rasul events or activities. Also in attendance was Doctor Dayang Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak, Permanent Secretary for Planning, Landuse and Environment at the Ministry of Development as Acting Managing Director of Yayasan.
