Government Directive Violation

There are still a number of people who are not taking seriously the out-of-house restriction issued by the government and found to be out and about from 8 in the evening until 4 in the morning. Last night, a local man was issued a compound fine for contravening the stay at home directive.

The 36 year old individual was found to be in a car at the Jalan Kecil area nearby Anggerek Desa Primary School in Berakas. During the inspection made by the Royal Brunei Police Force, a number of contraband including a bottle of alcoholic drink and several packs of cigarettes were found hidden in the vehicle. The case was handed over to the Royal Customs and Excise Department for further investigation.
