The 1st of Muharram 1438 Hijrah recorded the births of 14 babies in the country. To express gratitude to Allah Subhanahu Wataalah for the arrival of the newborn babies apart from glorifying the Hijrah New Year celebration, ceremonies were held yesterday to present gifts to the newborn babies.
12 babies were born in the Brunei Muara District. Present to hand over the gifts were Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Othman, the Minister of Religious Affairs, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Zulkarnain bin Haji Hanafi, the Minister of Health and Wife; Dato Paduka Doctor Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, the Deputy Minister of Finance as Deputy Chairman of Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei, TAIB; Dato Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs and Wife; , and Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Dewa Retired Major General Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Haji Mohammad bin Haji Daud, as the Chairman of Syarikat Takaful Brunei Darussalam Sendirian Berhad and its Subsidiary companies and wife.
Meanwhile, the Belait District recorded the births of twin baby girls on the 1st of Muharram 1438 Hijrah. Present to hand over the gifts was Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yussof, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Each baby received essentials for mother and baby worth 200 dollars from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, a Si-Manja Savings account of 250 dollars from Perbadanan TAIB, a 250-dollar Takaful Nur savings voucher and a baby rocking chair from Syarikat Takaful Brunei Darussalam Sendirian Berhad and its Subsidiary companies.
