Bandar seri begawan: In conjunction with the Celebration of the 70th Platinum Jubilee of Formal Religious Education in Brunei Darussalam, the Department of Islamic Studies organised a Futsal Tournament at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam Sports Complex on the afternoon of June 28th.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the event featured 30 teams from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and higher learning institutions. Awang Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, presented the prize to the winners. The tournament also included a Mahabbah Futsal Match, which featured senior officers from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah competing against officers from the Islamic Studies Department.
