His Majesty then proceeded for a four-eye meeting with the Prime Minister of Malaysia. Before entering the office of the Prime Minister, His Majesty signed a visitor’s book. At the meeting, His Majesty and the Prime Minister of Malaysia reaffirmed their commitment to further enhancing cooperation and collaboration in areas of mutual benefit such as in trade and investment, defence, education and youth exchange.
After the four-eye meeting, His Majesty and Yang Amat Berhormat proceeded to the Multipurpose Hall to witness the Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding in the field of Green Technology between Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia. Signing on behalf of the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Singamanteri Retired Colonel Dato Seri Setia (Dr.) Awang Haji Mohammad Yasmin bin Haji Umar, Minister of Energy and Industry at the Prime Minister’s Office, and for the Government of Malaysia was Yang Berhormat Datuk Seri Panglima Dr. Maximus Johnity Ongkili, Minister of Energy, Green Technology and Water.
After witnessing the Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, His Majesty proceeded to the Seri Perdana Complex for a luncheon hosted by the Prime Minister of Malaysia and wife. At the Seri Perdana Complex, His Majesty was welcomed by Yang Amat Berhormat the Prime Minister of Malaysia. Thereafter, His Majesty and Her Majesty, together with the Prime Minister of Malaysia and wife, proceeded to the Blue Room at the Seri Perdana Complex for a group photo before entering the Protocol Hall for the luncheon.
