Food Pack Distribution

To date, nearly 40,000 people who are undergoing the Quarantine Order and Self-Isolation Notice at their respective homes due to the COVID-19 pandemic have received food packs. The assistance aimed to lessen their plight as they are not allowed to leave their homes. The food packs include basic necessities such as rice, sugar, cooking oil and canned food. Currently, there are several food ration distribution centres established in 3 districts.

In the Brunei Muara District, the distribution centres are at the Youth Centre in the capital and the Sungai Kebun Sports Complex. Whereas in Belait District, the centres are located at the Mumong Sports Complex and Dewan Bandaran Kuala Belait, and for Tutong District is at the Tutong Sports Complex. Food ration distribution for Temburong District is handled by the Youth Centre’s distribution centre in Bandar Seri Begawan.

The food packs are delivered only once for their 2-week Quarantine Order and Self-Isolation Notice period. The deliveries were carried out by volunteers to over 7 thousand homes nationwide.
