Post: First Haj Flight Carrying Brunei’s Intending Pilgrims Departs for Holy Land

Bandar seri begawan: The first haj flight carrying Brunei Darussalam's intending pilgrims left for the holy land on 4th April morning aboard the Royal Brunei, RB flight BI4201. The group comprised 254 people including representatives from Brunei Darussalam Haj Management Office for Medical, Darussalam Services Sendirian Berhad, and Straits Central Agencies Sendirian Berhad. Present at Brunei International Airport to bid farewell were Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Awang Haji Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Awang Haji Othman, Minister Of Religious Affairs; His Excellency Lieutenant General Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz Al-Yahya, the Advisor to the Minister of Interior of Saudi Arabia and Chairman of the Supervisory Committee for the Makkah Route Initiative; and Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, Minister Of Transport And Infocommunications.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the first flight is expected to land in Madinah at 5:15 in the afternoon Madinah time. This marks an important phase in the spiritual journey of Brunei's pilgrims as they head to the holy land for the annual pilgrimage. The coordination and support from various agencies, including the Haj Management Office, have been instrumental in ensuring the smooth departure of the pilgrims.
