Post: Final of National Level Musabaqah Al-Quran Reading for Adults Concludes with Prize Presentation

Berakas: The culmination of the Final of the National Level Musabaqah Al-Quran Reading for Adults was marked by the presentation of prizes to the winners and participants. His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam presented the prizes at the ceremony held at the Plenary Hall, International Convention Centre, Berakas. The event was attended by His Majesty's sons and brother: His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office; His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik; His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen; and His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah. His Majesty was greeted upon arrival by several ministers, including Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Awang Haji Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Awang Haji Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs, among others.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the ceremony commenced with the reading of Al-Quran verses by Mohamad Husaini bin Mahmur, an invited qari from Malaysia. The Minister of Religious Affairs, in his welcoming address, emphasized efforts to strengthen Al-Qur'an learning programs. The Chairman of the Panel of Judges, Pengiran Doctor Haji Amiruddin bin Pengiran Haji Damit, announced the results and encouraged participants to remain determined and consistent in their training.

Emerging as Champion Qari was Awangku Adi Nazri bin Pengiran Haji Jofri, who received a seven thousand Brunei dollars cash prize, the Challenge Trophy, several accompanying prizes, a participation certificate, a Haj Package, a five thousand Brunei dollar Tekad Haji account, one gold dinar, and a Brunei woven cloth. The second placed Qari, Pengiran Muhd Amirul Aiman bin Pengiran Haji Marjuki, received a five thousand Brunei dollars cash prize and other accompanying awards. Awang Ahmad Zulwaqar bin Haji Suhaili, in third place, received three thousand Brunei dollars and additional prizes.

The Champion Qariah was Dayangku Siti Ummi Syazana binti Pengiran Haji Marjuki, who received similar prizes as the Champion Qari. The second placed Qariah, Dayang Amal Nazirah binti Haji Asmat, and third placed Dayang Nurhaneyah binti Nordin also received cash prizes and accompanying awards.

His Majesty also presented a souvenir to the invited Qari. The ceremony concluded with a Doa Selamat led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Awang Haji Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti. This year's Musabaqah was jointly organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Prime Minister's Office, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications, and Datastream Digital Sdn Bhd (DST).
