Filinvest Launches P9 Billion Real Estate Venture in Dumaguete Amid New Negros Region Formation
DUMAGUETE CITY — Filinvest Land, Inc. (FLI) has announced a PHP 9 billion real estate investment in Dumaguete City, aimed at complementing the economic and social landscape of the newly created Negros Island Region (NIR). This development coincides with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s recent signing into law of the NIR, which is set to receive its own budget in 2025.
According to Philippines News Agency, during the unveiling of the mid-rise condominium project Futura Shores in Barangay Mangnao, the investment is expected to significantly boost the local economy. Sagarbarria praised FLI’s commitment to enhancing Dumaguete’s standards and its transformative impact on the region. He highlighted that Futura Shores would not only offer high-end residential and leasing opportunities but also introduce a new lifestyle option to locals with its coastal condo community setup.
The project has previously seen success with Marina Spatial, another FLI venture in Barangay Piapi, which sold out its condo units in less than a year, with no resale reported to date. Woodrow Maquiling, Jr., provincial tourism executive director, also expressed support for the new project, noting its potential to attract more tourists and enhance local tourism infrastructure.
Futura Shores is currently pre-selling its units, promising a Phuket-style living experience with comprehensive amenities designed to appeal to both locals and tourists. The project is expected to further drive tourist traffic, create business opportunities, and generate additional revenue and employment in the region.
